You can see this being very popular in museums. Like a see through glass window at exhibits, such as a zoo, or science museum and a HUD on the right with information being displayed live and animations. It's a game changer. Dare I say a touch screen version would make museums cum in their pants wanting this.

Would be really interesting to place several of those screens in front of each other (ahem or behind each other) and then have several layers of effects running on top of each other, one blurring over into the other screen, for a weird kind of physical 3D effect.

Or imagine journalists in television having that screen in front of the camera showing subtitles with what they have to say. This way they could look directly into camera without taking their eyes off to look at the paper or to side table.

This would be amazing as an entire windscreen on a car. to show braking distance any hazards ahead of you, also integrat it with maps. Obviously cars would need to become a lot smarter and possibly communicate with each other. but this technology already exists in the airline industry to a degree.

🤔 these actuly been around for some time. And as he was saying about playing on both sides this is also already a thing for double sided signs so it's very possible. And few things that some other comments said like about cell phones and stuff I'm pretty sure there have been random prototypes with see through panels and as far as going with full screen phones they are clearly already working on it just ain't got it %100 right yet cause they are getting bad camera quality when taking pictures through it but it is getting close they got the fingerprint behind the screen taken care of in the S10, wouldn't be suprised if the S11 ends up with the cameras behind unless they still having trouble come that time, who knows maby even the NOTE 10. But that may be a whole other challenge because of the extra layer used in the screen for the S pen to work 🤷‍♂️ guess we gotta wait and see.

I could see this in 3 applications, you could use layered screens to create a 3D effect or make window units that have the screen with an electronically controlled blackout curtain behind it to transition from a window to a TV and the third which is what linus had said which is as a kiosk display, I picture it as a 1-2 inch thick glass slab with these displays and touch sensitivity. All the use cases for this all seem like something that has been used in Sci-fi movies... The future is now!

Vor 3 Tage
Aaron Wyler

I also just thought of that if you use this as a kiosk or standing glass unit with touch sensitivity you could also layer 2-3 screens as well to create a semi 3d touchscreen kiosk

ive been trying to avoid this video for weeks, but it finally snekked up on me.. glad it did, once they get into things like pvb/eva or tempering, this will have such an impact in all aspects of society potentially. though it will be crazy expensive at first, if the price gets down to something near reasonable in the next ten years then i wouldnt be surprised to see people with windows in their house that have this tech built in, or in thier cars and around in public spaces aswell as the potential uses in security and defense professions..

I think this technology will be going mainstream used on the car. Imagine replacing car windshield and side windows with this. Full windshild navigation and other contents, news on the half left, navigation the other half. We can see the image from inside the car but not from outside. I always imagine dimmable windows using electrochromatic technology on every windows in the car. Now you sandwich that with this transparent screen technology, bam. The posibility is endless.
